Nasty Pop was one of the earlier pop rock
band in Liverpool (1975-78) who had major success. The original line-up (1975-1976) gathered unsuspicious of what was going on in London at that time and of the major changes that punk would bring about in a few months time, and included Steve Grace (on guitar, later Stopouts, The Return of the Toreador), Keith Wilkinson (bass, vocals), Anthony Wimhurst (guitar), Jon Fitzpatrick (vocals, keyboards) and John Heath (drums), with the sporadic collaboration of Dick Cuthell (flute) and Gordon Smith (bottleneck). In October 1975 the band released the first single (Crow b/w Gracie), and some months later the first LP saw the light of day, mixed by Tony Visconti:

I have very fond memories of this record, I bought mine in a discount shop in Manchester a long time ago. I haven't heard it in years... thanks very much!!
Many thanks for the Nasty Pop posts; I've only just discovered them here! (Apologies for the tardy comment.) Do you, or one of your contributors, have the "Gracie" b-side? I actually bought the album back in the day, but never was able to track down down the 45...
Unfortunately I don't. Sorry.
best

I used to work with Jon Fitzpatrick in the 80s in Preston
